Employment and Social Development Canada is launching a Pilot Program called Recognized Employer Pilot which aims to minimize the administrative burdens in applying for Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
Employers must have had 3 positive LMIAs within past 5 years for the same occupations and the occupations should be listed in Canadian Occupational Projection System (COPS).
The program will start in September 2023 for Primary Agriculture stream. And in January 2023, they will roll it out for the rest of the streams.
ESDC will be proactively be sending an invitations to eligible employers to apply. Or, if the employers think they qualify for the program, they have until September 2024 to apply.
